The Do-Over Plan

The economy was a mess when Obama got elected. He’s been busy trying to keep everything afloat. Some stuff was worked, some hasn’t. … Quite Frankly it wasn’t that great under Bush. Remember his grand plan to stimulate the economy by giving every tax payer $ 300. Really.. things haven’t been too good since the Clinton days. Now Congress is considering another stimulus program, all while trying to avoid a major mess by extending the debt ceiling. Party politics have come into play and there has been a huge disregard for the average joe and what the American taxpayer is going through.
I’m not a politician, I’m not an economist, just one of those average Joe’s who is getting tired of treading water. Tired of the bickering, tired of the large companies getting handouts, tired of the cynicism and greed in Washington and large business in general. So I have come up with a plan. I call it the do-over plan. Here is how it goes:
As of now, all your debt have been forgiven. You don’t owe anybody anything. As far as if anyone owes you money… you can kiss that goodbye as well. No account payables, no account receivables. My guess is 95% of the people will make out in this move. This also goes for back taxes, credit cards, car loans etc. If you have a home or real estate loan, it will be adjusted to a 2% rate payable in a 20 year term. The government will issue everyone a check for $ 5,000.00. You must spend half of it within 14 days.
Senators, congressmen and other politicians must spend 10% of their elected time doing basic blue-collar jobs on government properties so they can re-connect with their constituents. This will include such jobs as sweeping the halls of congress, mowing the Whitehouse lawn, painting bridges, and picking up poop @ the National Zoo.
We will do a national lottery to help pay down the debt. Also make online gambling legal with the Government getting 10% off the top.
I willing to bet… if we implement these steps.. the economy will come roaring back.
That’s the basics… I’m sure there’s more we can add… Let me know what other components we should add to help get America moving again.
